I have been working towards some type of store front in months. I officially started on preparation for this business back in April. It doesn't even account for years of curating my favorite recipes and countless hours perfecting them. Getting my recipes/ formula organized, doing ingredient statements and filing for paperwork took two months. I finally got my permit from the health department back in June and soft opened since then. Before getting into all this, I thought it would be simple to have a booth at a farmer's market. Boy, was I wrong. I didn't realize all the hoops I will have to jump through. I had to file for various permits, contact all the farmer's markets in the area and finally I am able to get a spot with West Coast Farmer's market! It took me five months to get to this point!
